Search Marketing Manager (Paid and Organic)

OMP seeks a Search Marketing Manager who will assist OMP clients with both natural and paid search marketing campaigns.

The manager will serve as an integral part of OMP’s online marketing team by auditing client’s online marketing efforts, conducting keyword research and providing clients with SEO suggestions, helping establish inbound link campaigns, and managing client’s pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns. The candidate will be responsible for understanding client goals and expectations as well as all department deliverables and must be able to clearly convey and explain search engine best practices to company associates and clients.


Responsibilities
Natural Search Optimization:

  • Provide recommendations and work with clients to optimization of client pages for search engines: data, HTML, site structure, indexing and page content issues
  • Identify and implement effective strategies for increasing traffic for a variety of clients through organic search listings; including recommending changes to content, tags, and press materials based on keyword research.
  • Monitor client’s organic search rankings to maximize traffic and conversions.
  • Proactively make strategic recommendations regarding campaign tactics to improve performance by optimizing click-through and conversion, including website usability suggestions.
  • Create link building campaigns to help improve search results.

Paid Search Optimization:

  • Work with existing clients to understand how PPC can fit into their larger online marketing objectives
  • Plan and document SEM campaigns that deliver to marketing objectives while being in budget and on time.
  • Work with the client to gain approval on the plans including campaign structures, measurement processes, keywords, copy, landing pages & budgets.
  • Set-up, implementation, and management of client's pay-per-click campaigns in multiple verticals (includes keyword phrase research and strategy).
  • Test and develop new strategies within the PPC search engines.
  • Meet regularly with clients to develop a further understanding of their business, update on campaign performance and agree ongoing action plans.
  • Work with Web Analytics Manager to analyze and review client website traffic metrics, organic ranking, KPI tracking, and PPC campaign performance. Review and produce reports and analytics around daily revenue and traffic trends.
  • Ensure that SEO & SEM efforts work in tandem with other acquisition channels (email, PPC, social media, etc)
  • Assist with re-design and marketing of OMP’s corporate site.

Skills/ Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of SEO ranking, traffic and analysis trends and existing tools/software and techniques
  • 2-5 years of online marketing experience.
  • Proven track record implementing SEO principles.
  • Previous experience using Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing and MSN's AdCenter
  • Experience with online display advertising, banner advertising, Affiliate Marketing, Web site Analytics and Web site Conversion Metrics (CPM, CTR, CPC, CPL, CPA) a plus.
  • Experience optimizing landing page conversions (A/B testing, multivariate testing and offer testing background).
  • Ability to explain search marketing principles to others
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), and html
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, managing several projects simultaneously and setting priorities with minimal supervision and varying deadlines.
  • BA required.
